“Changing our behaviour is the single most important step to help prevent and reverse chronic disease.”
Chris Kesser (expert, leading clinician, and top educator in the fields of Functional Medicine)

Although health coaches are available in the NHS, they are widely employed and aren’t available in every GP practice.

From my experience working as an NHS Health Coach, wait times can stretch up to two months and calls can be shorter. Choosing to work with me means immediate, personalised, and consistent support. I provide consistent 50-minute biweekly sessions (usually same day and time) allowing for in-depth guidance, tailored strategies, and accountability to help you reach your goals.

If you’re seeking individualised support and a coach who will be with you every step of the way, I’m here to help you make a real difference in your health.

Health coaching focuses on setting and achieving specific health goals, such as improving diet, increasing physical activity, and managing stress. When approproate, we can also support your gut health, mental health, and weight management, all with a trauma-informed approach to ensure you feel safe and supported throughout your journey.

While health coaches focus on practical strategies and accountability to help you build sustainable lifestyle changes, counsellors and therapists typically address emotional, psychological, or relational challenges. Their work often involves exploring past experiences and underlying mental health concerns. Both professions support personal growth, but health coaching is generally more action-oriented and future-focused, whereas counselling and therapy tend to delve deeper into emotional processes.

Consider how much you might be willing to spend on midweek snacks, supplements, or drinks on the weekend, all of these quickly add up, yet often they aren’t helping you to reach your goals and improve your health. We often invest in things that bring momentary happiness, but do they genuinely support your health and wellbeing?

Coaching is a process that gets under all of this and creates real shifts in your life that will bring you closer to finding real happiness and contentment.

Often coaching will also touch on financial matters and money mindset too, so sometimes coaching can help you spend less on unhelpful or unnecessary things saving you money in the long run.

Many of my clients are pleasantly surprised by how much money they end up saving!

Online sessions run via video call on Practice Better (accessible through both desktop and app) or over the phone.

You’ll receive an email with a link to join 24 hours before your session, or you can easily access our session directly from your client portal.

Coaching over video call is like coaching in person, the only difference is that we’re talking via a screen rather than face to face. This method of coaching means you can work with me no matter where you live and works around your schedule.

In our coaching sessions, you can expect…

Practice Better integrates with Fitbit, Apple Health, and Garmin Connect.
